Role Overview

We are seeking a Head of Data & AI to serve as Digifloat’s principal authority for all Data, Analytics, AI, and Generative AI initiatives.

This is not a pure delivery or engineering management role.
It is a hybrid leadership position that spans:

• Strategic technology leadership
• Enterprise architecture authority
• Client advisory
• Presales and proposal ownership
• Program governance and delivery oversight
• Practice building and team scaling
• Business development and partnerships

The ideal candidate will act as Digifloat’s face of Data & AI in front of clients, partners, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

1) Strategic Technology Leadership & Architecture Authority

• Define and own Digifloat’s enterprise data and AI reference architectures.
• Establish standard solution blueprints across:
• Lakehouse, Warehouse, and Data Mesh architectures
• Streaming and batch data platforms
• ML, MLOps, and GenAI (RAG, agents, copilots)
• Evaluate and recommend appropriate platforms based on:
• Client context
• Scale and performance requirements
• Security and regulatory constraints
• Cost and commercial viability
• Act as final technical authority for major architectural decisions.
• Define best practices for:
• Data engineering
• Analytics engineering
• MLOps
• GenAI solution design
• Platform security and governance

2) Presales Leadership & Proposal Ownership

• Lead solution design for large RFPs, RFQs, and strategic proposals.
• Own the technical narrative in:
• Proposals
• Statements of Work (SoWs)
• Architecture sections
• Implementation approaches
• Effort estimations
• Technical assumptions
• Represent Digifloat in:
• Proposal defenses
• Client workshops
• Executive solution briefings
• Architecture review sessions
• Guide presales teams on:
• Platform selection
• Solution positioning
• Commercial trade-offs
• Delivery phasing and roadmap definition

3) Client Advisory & Executive Engagement

• Act as a trusted technical advisor to:
• CIOs
• CTOs
• Heads of Data
• Chief Digital Officers
• Business leadership
• Lead client discovery sessions and strategic roadmap discussions.
• Translate business objectives into scalable data and AI strategies.
• Support account expansion and long-term roadmap planning for strategic clients.
• Maintain senior-level client relationships across key accounts.

4) Delivery Oversight & Program Governance

• Provide architectural and technical oversight across all major data and AI programs.
• Review and approve:
• Solution designs
• Platform architectures
• Security designs
• Data models
• AI and ML approaches
• Act as escalation authority for:
• Complex technical issues
• Architecture conflicts
• Delivery risks
• Ensure platforms meet:
• Performance
• Scalability
• Security
• Reliability
• Compliance requirements

5) Practice Building & Team Leadership

• Build and scale Digifloat’s Data & AI practice.
• Define:
• Role structures
• Skill matrices
• Hiring standards
• Career paths
• Lead and mentor:
• Data engineers
• Analytics engineers
• ML engineers
• AI engineers
• Architects
• Establish internal enablement programs and technical standards.
• Drive knowledge sharing and IP creation.

6) Partnerships, Growth & Market Expansion

• Build and maintain strategic relationships with:
• Microsoft
• Snowflake
• Databricks
• HCL Software
• Other OEM and ISV partners
• Leverage personal and professional networks to generate qualified leads.
• Contribute to:
• Partnership programs
• Joint go-to-market initiatives
• Co-selling opportunities
• Support Digifloat’s product and IP strategy:

• GenBI
• LawGPT
• Industry accelerators

Required Experience & Profile

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in:
• Data engineering
• Analytics
• AI / ML
• Enterprise architecture
• Technical leadership
• Prior experience in one or more of:
• Head of Data
• Chief Architect
• Principal Consultant
• Practice Head
• Director of Data / AI
• Proven track record leading:
• Presales solutioning
• Proposal defenses
• Large enterprise delivery programs
• Experience acting as a senior advisor to CXO-level stakeholders.

Education & Certifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.

• CDMP or equivalent.
