About the Role
US Global Mail operates a distributed network of secure mail processing and warehouse facilities across the U.S. We are looking for a Head of Operations to take full ownership of performance across all locations.
This is not a maintenance role. You will be responsible for driving measurable improvements in productivity, accuracy, compliance, and cost structure across a multi-site operation.
You will work directly with the COO to standardize operations, enforce SOPs, and build a high-performance operational culture.

What You’ll Own
1. Operational Performance & Productivity

• Increase throughput per employee across all facilities
• Identify inefficiencies and reduce unnecessary headcount without impacting service quality
• Implement KPIs, dashboards, and accountability systems across locations

2. SOP Enforcement & Process Discipline

• Ensure all locations strictly follow documented SOPs
• Audit operations regularly and close gaps quickly
• Standardize workflows across all warehouses

3. Error Reduction & Quality Control

• Reduce mail handling and processing errors across all facilities
• Build QA processes and implement root-cause analysis systems
• Track and improve accuracy metrics continuously

4. Compliance & Mail Handling Standards

• Ensure strict adherence to USPS Form 1583 requirements and internal compliance processes
• Maintain audit-ready operations at all times

5. Facility & Physical Security Oversight

• Own physical security standards across all locations (access control, surveillance, handling protocols)
• Ensure facilities align with customer expectations and compliance commitments

6. Channel Partner & Vendor Operations

• Improve performance and accountability of partner-operated locations
• Strengthen relationships while enforcing operational standards

7. SOC 2 & Operational Compliance (Strong Plus)

• Lead or support SOC 2 implementation from an operational and warehouse perspective
• Ensure processes, controls, and documentation meet compliance standards

What Success Looks Like (First 6–9 Months)

• Measurable increase in productivity per location
• Reduction in error rates and customer-impacting issues
• Clear KPI reporting across all facilities
• SOP adherence across 100% of locations
• Improved partner performance and accountability
• Audit-ready compliance posture

Who You Are
8–15+ years in operations leadership, ideally in logistics, warehousing, or fulfillment

• Proven experience managing multi-site operations
• Strong track record of improving productivity and reducing costs
• Deep experience implementing and enforcing SOPs
• Highly analytical and data-driven (you manage by metrics, not intuition)
• Comfortable holding teams accountable and making tough calls
• Experience with compliance-heavy environments (mail, financial services, healthcare, etc.) is a strong plus
• Experience with SOC 2 or similar frameworks is highly preferred
