The Head of Sales – Nutraceutical Division is responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans to achieve business growth, revenue targets, and market expansion for nutraceutical, health, and wellness products. This role involves leading the sales team, building strong relationships with clients and distributors, and collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, R&D, and operations to ensure successful product positioning and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth in the nutraceutical and wellness market.
- Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and channels to expand market presence domestically and internationally.
- Set annual sales targets and oversee performance to ensure achievement of business goals.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer insights to refine sales strategies.
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and collective sales targets.
- Establish performance goals, conduct regular evaluations, and ensure continuous skill development through training and coaching.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, results, and customer satisfaction.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, distributors, healthcare professionals, and strategic partners.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and trade agreements to ensure profitability and long-term partnerships.
- Ensure timely resolution of client issues and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with marketing and product management teams to align sales efforts with product launches, promotions, and brand positioning.
- Collaborate with supply chain and production teams to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
- Provide market feedback to the R&D and product development teams for continuous innovation.
Reporting & Forecasting
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to senior management.
- Monitor sales metrics (e.g., volume, pricing, margins) and take corrective actions where necessary.
- Manage sales budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role within the nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, or FMCG industry.
- Strong understanding of nutraceutical products, market trends, and distribution networks.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales analytics tools.
- BBA/MBA Marketing and Nutracutical Experience.
