Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal indoor climate control, energy efficiency, and system reliability. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and equipment inspections to prevent breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot electrical components using tools like ohmmeters and conduct mechanical repairs involving welding or equipment replacement.
- Conduct field service operations including appliance repair, plumbing adjustments, ammonia refrigeration handling, and HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) system servicing.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes while performing all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related mechanical fields with a strong understanding of HVAC systems design and operation.
- Knowledge of construction practices related to HVAC installation and property maintenance.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical diagrams for complex HVAC/R systems.
- Mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler operation, and appliance troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing devices confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience as a <PERSON> driver preferred.
- Additional skills such as plumbing expertise, mechanical aptitude, welding proficiency, or property maintenance experience are advantageous.
