Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor, providing excellent customer service from the moment they walk in.
• Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS systems to ensure timely seating arrangements.
• Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and answer any initial questions about the menu or restaurant offerings.
• Handle cashier duties accurately by processing orders, payments, and issuing receipts using POS systems; maintain cash register accuracy at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate guest seating and special requests.
• Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when taking reservations or answering inquiries to enhance guest relations.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host/hostess or cashier in a fast-paced food service or restaurant environment.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
• Familiarity with restaurant POS systems such is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to ensure clear interactions with guests and team members.
• Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving etiquette and guest relations best practices.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a friendly demeanor under pressure.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
