Requirements:

  • Minimum of `0-2 years of experience in the same role
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • High levels of personal grooming
  • Interest and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all guests receive positive and professional service to the highest standards to exceed the customer’s expectations.
  • Meet and greet all guests in a warm and friendly manner, and remain attentive throughout their stay.
  • Understand and anticipate customer needs, being attentive but not intrusive.
  • Take reservations over the telephone by being informative and ensuring that the correct information is provided to guests at their request.
  • Seat customers quickly and efficiently ensuring that their specific requirements have been met. Manage guest’s expectations regarding waiting time if a suitable table isn’t available and keep guests updated on progress.
  • Manage the restaurant flow appropriately, including allocation of customers to waiting staff and their sections in the restaurant.
  • Assist the waiting staff as appropriate during busy periods without impacting the guest welcome and customer service.
  • Have a complete and thorough knowledge of all menu items in order to be able to describe and recommend products to customers.
  • See the customer to the exit, thank them and invite them to return again.
  • Ensure all administration is completed accurately and in a timely manner, including customer database cards.
  • Carry out all additional tasks as requested by management.
