Key Responsibilities:Cleaning & Hygiene Maintenance:
- Clean patient rooms, wards, OPD areas, operation theatres, and corridors as per schedule.
- Disinfect high-touch surfaces like bedrails, doorknobs, switches, and nurse stations.
- Clean and sanitize washrooms multiple times per shift.
Waste Management:
- Collect and dispose of biomedical and general waste as per hospital waste management protocols.
- Segregate waste into color-coded bins and ensure timely transfer to disposal area.
- Handle biohazard materials carefully with protective equipment.
Linen Handling:
- Collect soiled linens from wards and deliver them to the laundry.
- Replace with clean linen as per hospital standards.
- Assist in making patient beds with fresh linen.
Stock & Supply Support:
- Replenish cleaning supplies, hand sanitizers, toilet paper, and other materials.
- Inform supervisor when stocks are low.
Emergency Response:
- Clean spills, blood, or body fluids immediately and thoroughly using proper disinfectants.
- Assist in terminal cleaning of patient areas after discharges or procedures.
General Duties:
- Follow assigned cleaning checklists and schedules.
- Report any damage, maintenance issues, or unusual incidents to the supervisor.
- Maintain personal hygiene and wear uniforms, gloves, masks, and ID badges at all times.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum: 8th or 10th standard pass.
- Prior housekeeping experience in hospitals or hotels preferred.
- Basic understanding of infection control and cleaning standards.
- Physically fit and able to lift/move items.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
