CRF Celebrating 45 Years of Excellence in Behavioral Health Services in San Diego County!

Hours: This is an exempt, salaried position. Office hours are Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Duties will include working at assigned programs as well as at the Central Office location. This is not a remote work opportunity.

Pay Rate: $90,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience

Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration/Management, or related field is preferred, but additional experience may be substituted for a degree. SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI-PHR/SPHR certification strongly preferred.

Position Summary: Under general supervision of the VP, Human Resources, the HR Business Partner acts as a strategic partner to assigned business units/service lines to align HR practices with business objectives. This position partners closely with leadership across service lines to deliver proactive and responsive HR support that fosters a high performing, engaged workforce.

As the HR Business Partner, you will do the following:

  • Advise management with respect to employee relations and performance management issues, with an emphasis on early identification and resolution. This includes but is not limited to conducting internal investigations, communicating outcomes and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Interpret company policy and communicate changes in HR/Legal compliance to address employee concerns, mediate disputes, and mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with functional HR teams (i.e. recruiting, benefits), maximizing their expertise to implement human resources strategies and enable business objectives.
  • Analyze business trends and metrics to proactively address areas to maximize engagement and reduce employee turnover as well as identify key performers for succession management.
  • Develop and deliver management training on core HR policies and procedures and management best practices.

Additional Qualifications and Skills

  • A minimum of three to five years of HR Business Partner or HR Generalist experience.
  • Experience should be in a company of at least 500 employees.
  • Demonstrated experience in performance management, legal compliance including Wage and Hour laws and accommodations/ADA; employee relations including conducting investigations; familiarity with Leaves of Absence, and Workers Compensation.
  • Working knowledge of benefits, payroll, and compensation practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Demonstrates initiative, confidentiality, integrity, adaptability, and a results-orientated philosophy supporting the CRFs mission while being helpful, cooperative, courteous, and respectful.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional discretion and ability to maintain sensitive information and ensure confidentiality
  • A valid California drivers license in good standing, personal vehicle, and proof of insurance are required to fulfill the essential functions of this position
  • Ability to pass criminal/background clearance
