HR Business Partner

Starting salary is $71,000 per year, with higher pay available based on experience.

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join our HR team and help foster a supportive, compliant, and high-performing workplace.

Position Overview:
The HR Business Partner (HRBP) cultivates strong partnerships across the organization, providing consultation and support to management and employees in all service areas. The HRBP ensures compliance with employment laws and regulations, promotes positive employee relations, and supports organizational goals and culture. This is a fully in-office role.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws and regulations to reduce legal risk.
  • Communicate HR policies and procedures to employees and management.
  • Recommend updates to employee handbook and policies as needed.

Leadership, Coaching & Communication

  • Coach managers on disciplinary procedures and performance management.
  • Review and approve disciplinary actions, employee concerns, and investigations.
  • Build trust and rapport with employees and management across all levels.

Human Resource Operations

  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Monitor unemployment claims and ensure timely, thorough responses.
  • Handle workplace accommodation requests and guide interactive processes.
  • Maintain HRIS records and generate reports.
  • Serve as primary backup for HR Benefits Specialist.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Communicate HR trends and opportunities for improvement to HR leadership.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communication to all employees.
  • Participate in committees and organizational initiatives as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Excellent time management and ability to work independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, and relevant systems.
  • Ability to work onsite full-time and occasionally flexible hours.
  • Effective verbal and written communication and conflict resolution skills.
  • Licensed and insured driver, able to travel infrequently within Missouri.
  • Ability to bend, stand, stoop, push, pull, and lift up to 20 lbs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of HR experience required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification preferred.
