HR Executive

Position Summary:

Gulf Aquaculture is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Senior Human Resource Officer that will generally serve as a bridge between operational staff and executive leadership. The successful candidate aligns business objectives with employees and management. The role serves as a strategic consultant to leadership on human resource-related issues. A successful candidate acts as an employee champion and change agent, managing both strategic planning and daily HR operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic HR & Workforce Planning

  • Align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Structure organizational designs to optimize team efficiency.
  • Develop workforce plans to meet future hiring needs.
  • Lead management initiatives change across departments.

Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Oversee recruitment cycles from sourcing to final onboarding.
  • Implement psychometric testing and advanced vetting tools.
  • Design retention strategies to minimize employee turnover.
  • Build succession plans for critical business roles.

Employee Relations & Culture

  • Resolve complex grievances and manage disciplinary actions.
  • Counsel managers on employee relations best practices.
  • Foster inclusive culture initiatives to boost morale.
  • Conduct exit interviews to identify areas for improvement.

Compliance & Labor Law

  • Enforce strict adherence to regional and local labor laws.
  • Update employee handbooks and company workplace guidelines regularly.
  • Manage legal documentation related to employment contracts and visas.
  • Mitigate compliance risks through regular internal audits.

Performance & Compensation

  • Manage appraisal cycles and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Benchmark salary structures against current market data.
  • Oversee payroll inputs and employee benefits administration.
  • Track HR metrics like cost-per-hire and time-to-fill.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or SHRM/CIPD certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or specialist role.
  • Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of local labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Software: Proficiency with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Bayzat) and ATS systems.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional conflict resolution, active listening, and strategic communication skills.
  • Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic or other languages are a plus.
