AG&E is an international structural engineering firm headquartered in Dallas, TX. Founded in 2004, AG&E has 7 offices across the US and one office in India. We are searching for a HR Generalist to join our team in Dallas, TX.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Onboarding / Offboarding
    • Draft and issue offer letters.
    • Conduct background checks.
    • Coordinate I-9 document verification and E-Verify.
    • Manage immigration processes (work authorization, visa tracking).
    • Handle hire and exit notices, ensuring all compliance steps are met.
  • HR Administration & HRIS:
    • Maintain and administer records in HRIS.
    • Manage personnel files and compliance with record-keeping standards.
  • Compliance & Employment Law:
    • Coordinate with compliance poster services (e.g., PosterGuard).
    • Maintain I-9 and other legally required documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with all immigration regulations and documentation
    • Provide support to the HR Director with immigration cases and participate in calls with the immigration attorney
  • Employee Engagement & Retention:
    • Run stay interviews to assess satisfaction and risk of turnover.
    • Coordinate “fireside chats” or other employee-leadership connection sessions.
    • Support recognition programs tied to milestone anniversaries.
  • Reporting & Analytics:
    • Prepare monthly HR updates for the HR team and for ELT (Executive Leadership Team).
    • Produce reporting on key HR metrics (turnover, hiring, I-9 status, etc.).
    • Maintain and update the organization’s org chart.
  • Strategic HR Support:
    • Provides support across various HR initiatives, contributing to the successful execution of key programs
    • Provides timely and reliable employee support; responds effectively to employee questions regarding HR issues, handbook policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • 3–7 years of HR experience
  • Solid knowledge of employment law, I-9 / E-Verify processes, and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational, attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
