  • Analyzes, inputs and prepares payroll data via automated system to produce accurate and timely payroll (weekly & bi-weekly). Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Prepares weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end reports (gross payroll, hours worked, vacation accrual, tax deductions, benefit deductions, etc.) for management.
  • Performs various journal entries, account reconciliations and provides general ledger support.
  • Maintains current knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws.
  • Stays current on payroll systems to achieve alignment with HR benefits and other related items.
  • Provides effective accounting support for payroll related matters.
  • Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll procedures.
  • Performs benefit administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Files EEO-1 and VETS 100 reports annually; maintains other records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow procedures.
  • Represents the company for unemployment and workers compensation claims.
  • Assists in organizational training and development efforts.
  • Assists in administration of compensation programs; helps monitor performance appraisal process.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of payroll, human resources, effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills and computer proficiency. Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality.


EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

1. An Associate’s Degree and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Resources, or

2. Three to Five years’ experience in Payroll and/or Human Resources

3. Any similar combination of education and experience.

Oour Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
