Human Resource Manager
Classification Exempt Reports to Administrator
Summary/Objective
In keeping with our organization’s goal of improving the lives of the Guests we serve, the Human Resource Manager manages the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and responsible for the overall administration, coordination and evaluation of the human resources function. Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Communicates changes in personnel policies and procedures and ensures proper compliance is followed.
2. Maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance.
3. Coordinates or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
4. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters.
5. Processes payroll on a regular basis and ensures accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
6. Administers workers compensation program and works closely with workers compensation carrier to ensure claims are processed timely.
7. Administers the employee benefits program and assists with annual employee benefits open enrollment process.
8. Assists department managers with disciplinary procedures and ensures disciplinary actions are administered fairly and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
9. Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system for the Human Resources Department.
12. Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment and supplies.
17. Attend and participate in departmental meetings and in-services as directed.
19. Be knowledgeable in data collection, data analysis methodology, and performance improvement methods needed to support and lead performance improvement projects.
20. Identify opportunities for improvement through analysis of data, observation of operations, and consultation with leadership and staff.
24. Participate in compliance training as scheduled and adhere to compliance plan.
Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a similar field. Two years’ experience in a H.R. role, preferably in a health care setting. Preferred Education and Experience PHR or SPHR certification. 5 years of related experience.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local requirements and regulations.
