Job Title: HR Manager

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with executive leadership to align HR strategy with overall business objectives and growth initiatives.
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR programs tailored to the construction industry, including talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, and employee engagement.
- Analyze HR metrics (turnover, safety incident rates, time to fill, etc.) to identify trends and recommend proactive solutions.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for critical positions, from field superintendents and project managers to senior leadership roles.
- Develop innovative strategies to source, attract, and retain top talent in a competitive market, including craft professionals.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified candidates for key roles.
- Oversee and refine the onboarding process to ensure new hires are integrated effectively and understand our safety-first culture.
- Serve as the primary expert on complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations.
- Provide expert counsel and coaching to managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Manage relationships with labor unions (if applicable), including knowledge of collective bargaining agreements, grievance procedures, and negotiations support.
- Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, NLRA, etc.).
- Identify training needs specific to construction (e.g., leadership development for superintendents, safety compliance, software training).
- Develop and facilitate training programs for managers and employees.
- Create and manage career development pathways to promote internal growth and retention.
- Oversee the company’s compensation structure, ensuring competitiveness in the market to attract and retain talent.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and industry-specific perks (e.g., per diem, vehicle policies).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in construction industry with direct exposure to field operations.
- Experience with ORACLE HCM is a plus.
