HR Officer

Core Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Align all company policies, contracts, and terminations with the latest MOHRE and UAE Labour Law updates. [, 2]
• Emiratisation Strategy: Source, onboard, and retain Emirati talent to hit the mandatory government quotas and register hires via the Nafis platform. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
• Onboarding & Visa Operations: Coordinate with the company PRO to manage employment visas, medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and labor card issuance. [1]
• WPS Payroll Support: Assist finance in validating employee attendance, allowances, and deductions to ensure payroll clears via the Wages Protection System (WPS). [1, 2]
• Employee Relations: Act as the primary mediator for a multicultural workforce, resolving disputes, administering grievances, and conducting disciplinary reviews. [1, 2]
• Performance Management: Administer annual review cycles, monitor 6-month probation checkpoints, and structure Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs). [1, 2]
• End-of-Service Management: Calculate accurate Gratuity settlements under statutory formulas and manage standard repatriation arrangements. [1, 2]

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Psychology.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of dedicated HR experience within the UAE market.
• Certifications: HR certifications like CIPD (Level 3 or 5) or SHRM-CP are highly preferred.
• Legal Mastery: Concrete knowledge of MOHRE platforms, UAE labor portals, and mandatory employee corporate schemes like the Unemployment Insurance Scheme.
• Software Competency: Proficiency in modern HRMS tools (such as SAP SuccessFactors, Zoho People, or Oracle). [1, 2, 4, 5]

• Cultural Intelligence: Ability to effectively manage, communicate with, and unite employees spanning dozens of unique nationalities.
• Language Skills: Professional fluency in English is mandatory; business Arabic provides a significant competitive advantage for government relations.
