About the Position – HR Operations Specialist

The HR Operations Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of New Freedom’s HR systems, processes, and compliance functions. This role manages day-to-day HR operations including payroll preparation, timekeeping oversight, credential and license tracking, HR data management, and compliance reporting. The HR Operations Specialist also supports the coordination of HR communications, employee events, and training activities, contributing to a seamless and positive employee experience in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Your Impact Will Include:

  • Manage HR systems, data, and reporting for the department and team
  • Manage payroll and timekeeping administration for the company
  • Monitor and manage HR credential and compliance requirements
  • Plan, organize, implement and support employee engagement activities, events, and employee communication efforts
  • Provide administrative and departmental support to employees, leaders, and members of the HR team
  • Assist and support with benefits and worker's compensation tracking, reporting, and monitoring
  • Assist and support with employee and leadership training, as needed
  • Partner with the HR team to maintain operational excellence, ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, and ensure consistency across HR processes and systems

Where You’ll Work:

  • Primarily onsite, with some hybrid/remote work available (based on company needs)
  • Requires travel/driving to other facilities, events, etc.
  • Requires regular use of standard office equipment including but not limited to computer-use, phone, desk, chair, etc.
  • Requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and performing computer-based tasks for extended periods

Experience

Required
  • Excellent communication, organization, strong attention to detail, time management, and critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Effectively demonstrates versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Effectively collaborates and works within a team, while also effectively demonstrating the ability to take initiative and work well individually
  • Effectively demonstrates the ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer skills – MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams), Internet, Electronic Health Record, etc.
  • Strong understanding of HR Systems (HRIS, LMS, benefits platforms)
  • Minimum of two (2) to three (3) years of HR experience, preferably in HR operations, payroll, or HRIS administration within a behavioral or healthcare setting

Education

Required
  • High School or better
Preferred
  • Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field

Licenses & Certifications

  • Drug & Alcohol Testing
