Job Description: HR- Payroll Executive
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Payroll Executive is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all factory employees, ensuring strict compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws. This role requires expertise in using advanced Excel features for complex calculations, data analysis, and financial forecasting related to production schedules and variable pay structures inherent in a manufacturing/fabrication environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing: Manage the full payroll cycle (weekly/bi-weekly/monthly) for all employees, including processing wages, overtime, bonuses, shift differentials, and various deductions.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee payroll records and documentation, including new hires, terminations, attendance, leaves (Paid Leave, Unpaid Leave, Sick Leave, Maternity Leave), and personal information (PAN, PF details, etc.).
  • Compliance and Reporting:
  • Ensure all payroll processes comply with applicable labour laws, tax regulations (TDS, PF, ESIC, Professional Tax), and internal policies.
  • Prepare and submit tax payments and related compliance reports and returns to relevant authorities.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
  • Financial Reconciliation: Prepare payroll reports, journal entries, and reconcile payroll accounts with the finance department to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting.
  • Query Resolution: Serve as the primary point of contact for employees' payroll-related queries, addressing concerns about salary, benefits, and taxes promptly and accurately.

Advanced Excel Responsibilities & "What-If" Analysis

  • Scenario Planning: Utilize Excel's What-If Analysis tools (Scenario Manager, Goal Seek, Data Tables) to model and forecast the financial impact of various operational and policy changes.
  • Complex Calculations & Data Analysis: Apply advanced functions (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, IF functions, Macros, etc.) to analyze large datasets, streamline payroll calculations, and automate reporting processes.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Payroll Executive, preferably within a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Advanced Excel proficiency is mandatory, including expertise in "What-If" Analysis tools (Scenario Manager, Goal Seek, Data Tables), Pivot Tables, and complex formulas.
  • Familiarity with standard payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, QuickBooks Payroll) and HRIS systems is highly desirable.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, high level of integrity for handling confidential information, and excellent communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
