Job Summary:
The HR Recruiter will be responsible for sourcing, attracting, and hiring qualified professionals such as veterinarians, para-veterinarians, animal handlers, and support staff for animal hospitals, shelters, and NGOs. This role involves end-to-end recruitment, from identifying talent to onboarding, with a strong understanding of the animal welfare and healthcare ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract skilled veterinary doctors, para-vets, animal care staff, and administrative personnel.
- Collaborate with department heads and management to understand staffing needs and job requirements.
- Source candidates through multiple channels including job portals, social media, professional networks, and campus drives (veterinary colleges, animal science institutes, etc.).
- Screen resumes, conduct initial interviews, and assess candidates’ qualifications and cultural fit.
- Coordinate technical and behavioral interview rounds with subject matter experts or senior veterinarians.
- Manage the offer process, salary negotiation, and pre-joining formalities.
- Maintain an active talent pipeline for future staffing needs in veterinary and animal welfare roles.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and labor laws throughout the hiring process.
- Support new employee onboarding and orientation programs.
- Maintain accurate recruitment reports, databases, and analytics for management review.
- Represent the organization at veterinary job fairs, conferences, and networking events.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (a background in animal science or veterinary HR recruitment is an advantage).
- Proven experience (2–5 years) as an HR Recruiter, ideally within the healthcare, veterinary, or NGO sector.
- Strong understanding of veterinary and para-veterinary roles, skills, and educational backgrounds.
- Excellent sourcing skills using LinkedIn, Naukri, Indeed, and veterinary networks.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple recruitments simultaneously.
- Passion for animal welfare and commitment to ethical hiring practices.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
