We are hiring multiple HR Specialists to support our growing Canadian based Flink Freight Logistics operations. This role is ideal for HR professionals with strong experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, and core HR operations, who are comfortable working in EST time zones and collaborating with international stakeholders.
The HR Specialist will play a key role in attracting top talent, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience, and supporting HR policies, systems, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for multiple roles across departments
- Source candidates through job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and other channels
- Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and coordination with hiring managers
- Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience
- Maintain recruitment metrics and hiring reports
Onboarding & Training
- Coordinate and manage onboarding processes for new hires
- Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation
- Conduct orientation sessions and ensure policy compliance
- Support training and development initiatives
- Track onboarding completion and probation evaluations
HR Operations & Employee Relations
- Serve as a point of contact for employee HR-related queries
- Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes
- Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
HRIS & Documentation
- Maintain and update HRIS with employee data
- Generate HR reports related to hiring, attendance, and employee lifecycle
- Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality
Policies, Procedures & Compliance
- Assist in implementing and updating HR policies and SOPs
- Ensure HR practices align with company standards and local regulations
- Support audits and internal HR compliance initiatives
Compensation & Benefits Support
- Assist with payroll coordination, benefits administration, and leave management
- Support performance management and appraisal cycles
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
- 3 to 4 years of proven experience in an HR Specialist or HR Generalist role
- Demonstrated expertise in Talent Acquisition and employee onboarding
- Practical, hands-on experience working with HRIS platforms preferred
- Solid understanding of HR policies, employee relations, and industry best practices
- Strong verbal and written communication & report writing skills
- Willingness and ability to work consistent EST night shifts 06 PM to 02 AM
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
