Job Summary
The HRIS Analyst supports the organization’s HR technology ecosystem by administering and optimizing HRIS platforms, integrations, reporting, and data governance. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, Finance, and IT to ensure accurate employee data, effective workflows, secure access, and timely analytics for business decisions and compliance reporting.
The HRIS Analyst is also a primary point of contact for troubleshooting HR system issues, supporting system upgrades, maintaining interfaces, and producing scheduled/ad hoc reports.
In this environment, the HRIS Analyst will work across a multi-system landscape that includes UKG (multiple instances), Dayforce, and SAP, along with related HR technology and interfaces.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer, configure, and support HRIS platforms (including UKG, Dayforce, and SAP), ensuring system stability, data accuracy, and effective end user support.
- Maintain HR data integrity by auditing records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting ongoing employee data changes.
- Develop, run, and maintain standard, ad hoc, and scheduled HR reports and dashboards, including headcount, compliance, and leadership reporting.
- Own and support recurring reporting deliverables such as HR dashboards, UKG and Dayforce reports, and automated scheduled reports.
- Support compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Maintain and troubleshoot HR system integrations and interfaces, including file-based imports/exports and vendor feeds.
- Support benefits and vendor integrations and file processes including error resolution, demo files, and backup uploads.
- Partner with IT to support identity, authentication, and access-related processes, including audits, UPN validation, and system access approvals.
- Support HRIS-related audits and controls by providing documentation, reports, and system evidence.
- Maintain and update HRIS documentation, SOPs, and user guides to support knowledge continuity and operational consistency.
- Assist with HR workflow automation and system-enabled forms (e.g., Power Automate workflows).
- Support system upgrades, enhancements, new company setups, and implementation activities across HR platforms.
- Coordinate with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
- Perform other HRIS-related duties as assigned, including process improvement, system optimization, and special projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HRIS experience supporting enterprise HR systems in a complex organization.
- Working knowledge of HRIS concepts, including employee lifecycle data, job structures, security roles, workflows, and data governance.
- Hands-on experience supporting HRIS platforms such as UKG (UltiPro/UKG Pro) and/or Ceridian Dayforce; experience in a multi-system environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent data and how these functions intersect within HR systems.
- Demonstrated ability to produce accurate standard, ad hoc, and scheduled HR reports and dashboards for operational, leadership, and compliance needs.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, formulas); experience with Power Query, BI tools, or data visualization strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting HR system integrations and interfaces, including file-based imports/exports, vendor feeds, and error resolution.
- Ability to maintain high levels of data accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality when working with sensitive employee information.
- Familiarity with compliance and audit support activities (e.g., EEO, SOX, internal/external audit requests).
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including root cause analysis of data and system issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, recurring deliverables, and deadlines in a fast paced environment.
- Experience documenting processes, maintaining SOPs, and creating or updating user guides and job aids.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
- Continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes and optimize system use.
