Job Overview:
The HSE Engineer/Manager will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving the Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) framework across multiple high-rise building projects, including residential apartment towers, mixed-use developments, and hotel buildings. The role ensures full compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company HSE policies to promote a safe and sustainable work environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements for high-rise construction activities.

Monitor compliance with statutory regulations, international safety standards (OSHA/NEBOSH/ISO 45001/14001), and company HSE policies.

Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and safety walk-throughs to ensure adherence to safe work practices.

Oversee high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting operations, scaffolding, excavation, hot works, confined spaces, and façade/cladding installation.

Review and approve subcontractors’ HSE documentation and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Verify the availability, certification, and proper use of safety equipment, PPE, and emergency tools across all sites.

Lead or participate in incident/accident investigations; prepare detailed reports and implement corrective and preventive actions.

Develop and coordinate emergency response plans, evacuation procedures, and fire safety protocols for high-rise projects.

Maintain comprehensive records of incidents, near-misses, safety observations, inspections, and corrective actions.

Conduct HSE induction sessions for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.

Organize daily/weekly toolbox talks, awareness sessions, and safety meetings to reinforce a strong safety culture.

Monitor environmental compliance including waste management, pollution prevention, noise and dust control, and sustainability practices.

Ensure proper implementation of environmental management plans and documentation.

Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Construction Managers, QA/QC teams, and subcontractors to integrate safety into all operations.

Prepare weekly and monthly HSE performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Participate in client and consultant HSE meetings, inspections, and audits.

Identify areas for improvement and implement enhanced safety measures based on observations and industry best practices.

Support the development of company-wide HSE strategies, policies, and performance KPIs.
Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.

Professional certifications such as NEBOSH IGC, IOSH, OSHA, ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent will be given preference.

Minimum 5–10 years of HSE experience, preferably with high-rise building projects (residential towers, mixed-use developments, hotels).

Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations, emergency response protocols, and high-risk activity management.

Good communication, reporting skills.

Ability to work on multiple project sites and coordinate with diverse teams.
