HSE Officer – Construction (Experienced Only)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HSE Officer to oversee health, safety, and environmental practices on construction sites. The ideal candidate will ensure full compliance, lead safety initiatives, and actively contribute to a strong safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor HSE policies in line with legal and company standards
• Conduct site inspections and ensure timely corrective actions
• Lead safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness sessions
• Perform risk assessments and Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
• Enforce proper use of PPE across site
• Maintain accurate HSE records for audits and compliance
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses with corrective actions
• Support emergency response planning and drills
• Coordinate with supervisors and subcontractors to ensure site safety
• Promote hazard identification and reporting culture

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and risk assessment
• Experience in conducting audits and implementing safety programs
• Ability to work independently and lead site safety initiatives
• Strong communication and reporting skills

Preferred

• Experience mentoring junior staff
• Certification (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH) is an advantage
