HSE Officer

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate/Diploma in Industrial Safety, NEBOSH

Minimum Experience: 3 - 5 years post qualification experience in a structured progressive Steel Fabrication and Erection Project site environment.

Job-Specific Skills:

§ Additional certification in safety training/seminars.

§ Certification in safety, first aid and firefighting.

Generic Skills:

• Good interpersonal and problem solving skills.
• Auditing and report writing skills
• Ability to observe processes and evaluate compliance.
• Ability to communicate well – oral and written.
• Knowledge of equipment and mechanical works

Exposure to MS Office packages – Excel, Word, PowerPoint

5. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Helps in the Overall Coordination and Management of HSE department of the company.
• To interface with the project management team and implement the project specific HSE plans and procedures.
• To conduct internal project and process HSE audits.
• To maintain project specific HSE statistics and reports.
• To participate in site and project HSE meetings.
• To liaise with clients and customers on HSE matters.
• To conduct, record and advise on routine and non- routine HSE inspections for his designated area of responsibility. These inspections consisting of but not limited to the following:- Safety Tours, Daily Walk about, Targeted inspections/ Audits, Equipment and machinery specific inspections, Health/ Hygiene and Environment inspections..
• To ensure that all identified training/ certification for personnel is in place and valid.
• To identify the training needs and conduct In-house trainings and participate in Toolbox talks.
• To ensure all required Personal Protective Equipment is identified and is available.
• To assist in the investigation and reporting of incidents occurring within his jurisdiction.
• To assist in the day to day operations for HSE
• To control permit to work systems.
• To participate in emergency mock drills.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
