HSE Supervisor - Residential Projects

Key Responsibilities

Implement and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and standards across civil construction projects
Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments for activities such as excavation, concreting, scaffolding, and lifting operations
Ensure compliance with local regulations, client requirements, and company HSE standards
Lead toolbox talks, safety inductions, and ongoing safety training for workers and subcontractors
Monitor and enforce proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on site
Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses; prepare reports and recommend corrective actions
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors on all HSE-related matters
Review method statements, risk assessments (RAMS), and permit-to-work systems
Maintain HSE documentation including permits, inspection records, and safety reports
Ensure emergency preparedness plans are in place and conduct drills (fire, evacuation, rescue)
Monitor environmental controls such as waste management, dust, and noise pollution
Promote a proactive safety culture across all site personnel

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Civil Engineering, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of HSE experience, specifically in civil construction projects
Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent are required/preferred
Strong knowledge of civil construction activities and associated risks
Familiarity with local HSE regulations and international safety standards
Experience in infrastructure, roadworks, utilities, or large-scale civil projects is an advantage
Strong leadership, communication, and training skills
Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective control measures
Proficiency in MS Office for reporting and documentation
Commitment to maintaining a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible worksite
