HSSE Manager, Power Plant experience is a must (Emiratization job role)

Our client is looking for a Health, Safety Security and Environment Manager to join their team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Key Responsibilities will Include:

• Responsible for the development, deployment and management of Organizations Occupational Health, Safety, Security and Environmental policies and procedures.
• Responsible for consolidating data and monitoring audits and inspections for departments and contractors, to ensure compliance with organizational policies, and UAE laws and regulations. Report performance data / findings as required.
• In-charge of creating Occupational Health Service awareness within the organization.
• Accountable to raise purchase requests for Health Safety and Environment equipment’s and Personal Protective Equipment’s as well as to control the ones issued.
• Effectively manage the planning, utilization and performance of the department’s human resources to meet business requirements.
• Responsible for setting and managing departmental annual budget and optimizing the level of expenditure within set limits.
• Accountable to earn training hours annually to enhance knowledge sharing across organizational functions, and for the training and development delivery of the organizations Occupational Health Service trainees according to set SWI’s (Standard Working Instructions) and Operations procedures.
• Responsibility to enroll in safety tours and make observation cards related to HSE annually.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by the General Manager.

Who we’re looking for:

• Must have a Bachelor / Engineering degree in Health, Safety, Environmental Sciences, OR a relevant Engineering background
• Must have NEBOSH (Level 6) / Grad IOSH certifications.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years power and desalinization plant work experience, or 7 years of proven working experience in all aspects of Safety and Fire Prevention-related activities within the high hazard industries. With at least 1 years of experience in a managerial role.
• Experience working under OSHAD regulations and requirements.
• Lead Auditor OSHAS 45001/18001 & 14001
