Pay Range: $18/hr to $25/hr, depending on experience


Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with OT options)


Key Responsibilities

  • Process weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Administers various human resource plans and procedures for all company personnel; assists in developing and implementing personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook and policies and procedures manual.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Conduct and administer disciplinary procedures and internal investigations at the direction of the department manager and company President which also includes coaching and guiding managers on the appropriate action to take.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
  • Process checks for payment against Accounts Payable and Notes Payable maintaining a good credit standing.
  • Maintain all co-op programs offered to the company.
  • Code time cards, process payroll and maintain payroll records.
  • Responsible for timely 941 tax deposits and other payroll tax liabilities.
  • Complete company-required annual reporting to government entities.
  • Maintains and updates human resource records and compiles reports.
  • Track professional development, ergonomics, health, and safety.
  • Updating job descriptions for employees.
  • Work with 3rd party vendors to conduct compensation benchmarking to prepare salary ranges.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conduct pre-employment and onboarding, including background checks, employment verifications, new hire orientation, etc.
  • Perform all offboarding duties, which include, exit interviews, and other company policies
  • Respond to internal and external payroll/HR inquiries
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Prepare reports related to payroll, HR metrics, and compliance
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection policies

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in HR or Accounting is a plus)
  • 1–2 years of experience in payroll, HR, or administrative support
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
