The Infinity Group is a contracting service provider for the construction industry based in
London. We provide a payroll service, removing the risk of IR35 and employment law- related issues.
We're seeking a highly skilled and motivated Human Resources and Recruitment Officer to join our team. In this role, you’ll manage the full recruitment process, promote best HR practices, and ensure we’re always compliant with UK employment law. You’ll be involved in everything from onboarding new starters to encouraging performance and engagement across the team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
- Oversee offer letters, employment contracts, and right-to-work checks.
- Develop and deliver onboarding programs to ensure a smooth transition for new employees.
- Coordinate system setups and ensure completion of all compliance requirements and induction training.
2. Employee Relations & Performance Management
- Conduct regular check-in meetings with employees to discuss progress, concerns, and feedback.
- Facilitate performance review meetings to establish goals, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for professional development.
- Manage grievance and disciplinary procedures in line with ACAS guidelines.
- Organise monthly team-building activities to strengthen relationships and foster collaboration.
- Support line managers in addressing performance and conduct issues promptly and fairly.
3. Employment Law & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with UK employment law, company policies, and best practices.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and update policies accordingly.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on HR-related matters, employment law, and internal procedures.
- Develop, review, and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance.
- Support compliance with GDPR, Right to Work, and Health & Safety regulations.
4. HR Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including attendance, training, and performance data.
- Record and track absences accurately, ensuring appropriate documentation is obtained.
- Liaise with the Payroll Department to ensure accurate pay, benefits, and statutory deductions.
- Prepare and provide HR-related reports and analytics to support management decisions.
- Regularly review and update HR documents, including contracts, handbooks, and templates.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on company policies and HR processes.
- Ensure employees are informed of any updates or changes to company policies and procedures.
5. Pensions Administration
- Manage pension auto-enrolments in line with UK regulations.
- Handle employee pension opt-outs, opt-ins, and postponements where applicable.
- Support re-enrolment every three years as required by law.
- Liaise with pension providers and ensure accurate submission of data and contributions.
Requirements:
- CIPD qualification or willingness to work towards it.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in HR and recruitment.
- Ability to provide two professional references from previous employers.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and recruitment best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
