Job Summary
Bright Behavioral Health is seeking a highly organized, proactive HR Assistant to own day-to-day HR operations and full-cycle recruiting for clinical roles primarily RBTs and BCBAs. This role will serve as the main point of contact for hiring, onboarding, employee records, and HR coordination, ensuring compliance and a smooth employee experience in a fast-paced ABA setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment: post jobs, source candidates, screen applicants, schedule/lead interviews, and maintain candidate pipelines.
- Conduct phone/video screens and coordinate in-person/virtual interviews.
- Communicate with candidates throughout the process (status updates, next steps, offers, start dates).
- Prepare and send offer letters, collect required hiring documents, and coordinate start-date logistics.
- Track recruiting metrics (time-to-fill, pipeline status, source performance) and keep leadership informed.
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Support
- Own new hire onboarding: document collection, orientation scheduling, system access requests, badge/logins, and initial training coordination.
- Ensure completion of I-9 and E-Verify (if applicable), background checks, and reference checks.
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure documentation is complete, current, and confidential.
HR Administration & Compliance
- Maintain personnel files, including audits for missing or expired documentation.
- Support benefits administration tasks (enrollments, changes, terminations, documentation) as assigned.
- Assist with HR reporting (headcount, onboarding status, compliance trackers, licensing/certification trackers).
- Serve as a primary HR contact for employee questions; escalate complex employee relations issues to leadership/owners as needed.
- Help implement and enforce HR policies and procedures consistent with applicable employment laws and confidentiality expectations.
Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred)
- 1–3 years of HR, recruiting, or high-volume administrative experience (healthcare/ABA strongly preferred)
- Strong organization, urgency, and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Preferred:
- Experience hiring for clinical roles (RBTs, BCBAs, healthcare staff)
- Familiarity with HRIS/ATS systems (Indeed, Paychex, ADP, BambooHR, etc.)
- Knowledge of I-9/E-Verify and onboarding compliance
- Spanish/English bilingual a plus
