OVERVIEW:
The Human Resources Assistant supports the Human Resources (HR) department by ensuring accurate tracking of employee time off, coordinating performance review processes, assisting with entry level recruiting efforts, and maintaining organized and compliant personnel records. This role provides administrative support to the HR Manager and serves as a key point of contact for employee documentation, onboarding logistics, and day to day HR operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate records of PTO, attendance, and timekeeping documentation.
- Coordinate 90 day and annual performance review cycles and maintain proper documentation.
- Support recruiting efforts including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.
- Prepare and manage compliant new hire onboarding documentation and employment records.
- Process employment status changes including promotions, compensation updates, and terminations.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical personnel files in accordance with compliance standards.
- Assist with payroll preparation and benefits administration documentation.
- Prepare HR correspondence and process exit paperwork.
- Ensure HR documentation and practices comply with applicable employment laws.
- Support the development and coordination of company events and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide administrative and project support to the HR Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- At least one year of HR or administrative support experience preferred.
- Foundational knowledge of HR practices and employment compliance.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to prioritize tasks and perform efficiently in a fast paced environment.
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
