As a dedicated salon specializing in natural hairstyles, we pride ourselves on creating a welcoming and empowering environment for both our team and clients. We are currently seeking a motivated, proactive, skilled individual to fill the role of Administrative Director with a focus on scheduling and sales. The selected candidate will oversee the admin team in our organization which organizes and manages the daily client calendars for the stylists. An ability to effectively set and meet deadlines while exercising process improvement is key to success in this role. This position requires an individual who is not only efficient in administrative tasks but also an adamant salesperson. We need a closer, not just a seller.

As the manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our admin department, ensuring seamless scheduling and coordination amongst staff members. Additionally, you will play a critical role in driving sales by utilizing your strong persuasion skills and knowledge of the services we offer. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional organizational abilities, excellent communication skills, as well as a proven track record in sales closing. Previous experience as an Executive Assistant and familiarity with office management technologies to ensure our company’s workflow runs smoothly is preferred. In order to be a high-performing, integral asset to our company’s success, you will maximize our sales team potential, craft sales plans, ensure the Admin team meets our customer acquisition and revenue growth targets.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full onboarding and offboarding lifecycle, including the collection and verification of essential new hire paperwork and accurate HRIS data entry.
  • Administer employee benefits by tracking eligibility, processing enrollments, and acting as a point of contact for carrier-related inquiries.
  • Coordinate recruitment logistics by posting job openings, scheduling interviews across multiple locations, and maintaining professional candidate communication.
  • Ensure organizational compliance through regular audits of I-9 files, stylist licenses, and certifications to maintain audit-ready records.
  • Assist with the accuracy of payroll processing by tracking daily tip pools and updating employee status changes in the HRIS.
  • Generate standard reports on headcount and turnover to support the HR Manager in operational decision-making.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling sensitive legal and personnel documentation.
  • Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and administrative tasks simultaneously.
  • High degree of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential personnel information.
  • Consistent reliability and punctuality to ensure a 24-hour response time for employee inquiries.

Strongly Preferred

  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of prior experience in an administrative support or HR coordinator capacity.
  • Previous experience working within the salon, retail, or high-growth service industries.
  • Familiarity with navigating and maintaining HRIS platforms and digital filing systems.
  • Ability to work independently with a proactive approach to flagging potential issues or upcoming deadlines.
  • High level of composure and productivity when working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
