Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our team and support our organizational goals through effective HR operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing human capital processes, facilitating employee onboarding and orientation, assisting with benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with employment and labor laws. Duties
- Assist with talent acquisition activities, including sourcing candidates.
- Support employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated smoothly into the organization.
- Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data entry and manage employee records with precision.
- Help administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, and retirement plans.
- Contribute to performance management processes by assisting with employee evaluations and supporting training & development initiatives.
- Support compliance efforts related to OSHA standards, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act), affirmative action planning, and other employment laws.
- Facilitate communication between employees and management regarding HR policies, conflict management issues, and organizational changes.
- Assist in project management tasks related to HR initiatives such as organization design, succession planning, or change management projects.
Experience
- Proven administrative experience in human resources or related fields with familiarity in human capital management.
- Strong knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation procedures, and HR compliance standards.
- Experience with HR sourcing strategies and recruiting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity while managing data collection and entry tasks accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams and resolve conflicts professionally.
- Prior exposure to payroll systems such as Payco, Kronos or Isolved is preferred but not required.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently within a fast-paced environment using project management skills. Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
