Human Resources Assistant

Duties

  • Assist with talent acquisition activities, including sourcing candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking System) platforms such as iCIMS, Workday, or Taleo, and coordinating interviews.
  • Support onboarding and employee orientation programs to ensure new hires are welcomed and integrated seamlessly into the company.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS (Human Resources Information System) data entry and manage employee records with precision.
  • Aid in benefits administration by processing enrollments, updates, and inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and workers' compensation.
  • Contribute to performance management initiatives by supporting employee evaluations and development plans.
  • Help coordinate training & development sessions, workshops, and compliance training to promote continuous learning.
  • Assist in employee relations efforts by addressing basic inquiries and supporting conflict management processes with professionalism and confidentiality.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of human capital management practices, employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, UltiPro, or ADP; familiarity with payroll platforms like Paychex or Paylocity is a plus.
  • Experience with talent acquisition tools including ATS systems like iCIMS or Taleo; adept at social media management for recruiting purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction across all levels of the organization; capable of managing change management initiatives smoothly.
  • Demonstrated project management abilities with a focus on organization design, workforce management, succession planning, and strategic planning.
  • Competence in data collection, analysis, and reporting to support HR decision-making processes.
  • Administrative experience involving data entry, contracts management, and document preparation; familiarity with HR compliance standards such as OSHA is advantageous.
