Responsibilities
- Assist with talent acquisition activities, including sourcing candidates through ATS (Applicant Tracking System), scheduling interviews, and supporting onboarding processes such as employee orientation and training.
- Manage human capital management systems like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, or Oracle HCM to ensure accurate data entry, updates, and reporting.
- Support benefits administration by processing enrollments, changes, and inquiries related to health insurance, retirement plans, and workers' compensation claims.
- Contribute to employee relations efforts by helping coordinate conflict management initiatives and facilitating effective communication between staff and management.
- Aid in performance management processes by collecting data for employee evaluations, supporting performance review cycles, and assisting with succession planning activities.
- Maintain compliance with employment & labor law standards, OSHA regulations, and affirmative action planning requirements through diligent record keeping and documentation.
- Support HR projects related to organization design, change management initiatives, and workforce management strategies to enhance overall HR effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Payroll function with employee updates, timekeeping corrections, and payroll documentation
- Process biweekly/weekly payroll for employees accurately and on schedule
- Verified and entered employee timecards, overtime, and shift differentials
- Maintain payroll records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and time corrections
- Assist with onboarding by setting up new employees in payroll systems
- Provide administrative support to the HR department on daily tasks and projects
- Help employees with basic HR and payroll-related questions and direct inquiries as needed
- Prepare HR documents, reports, and spreadsheets as requested
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and sensitive records
- Help ensure HR documents and processes remain organized and compliant
- Support company events, employee engagement activities, and training coordination
- Perform general office and administrative duties related to Human Resources
Qualifications
- 3+ years of Payroll experience
- 3+ years of HR administrative or HR specialist experience preferred
- Knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and confidentiality standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams, Slack, and HRIS/payroll systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Experience:
- Payroll: 3 years (Preferred)
- Human resources: 3 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
- Demonstrated experience in administrative roles within human resources or related fields; familiarity with HRIS platforms such as UltiPro, Dayforce.
- Strong understanding of human resources management principles including talent acquisition, employee evaluation, benefits administration, and training & development.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law regulations (FMLA, OSHA) and workers' compensation procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally.
- Proficiency in data collection, data entry, interviewing techniques, and social media management for recruitment purposes.
- Experience with project management tools and systems like Salesforce or iCIMS will be advantageous.
