Job Summary
The HR Coordinator supports day-to-day HR operations, ensuring a smooth employee experience throughout the employee’s lifecycle from recruiting and onboarding through data maintenance, compliance, and employee support. This role manages employee engagement, training, and benefits coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Recruiting Support: Post jobs, schedule interviews, coordinate candidate communications, manage background checks, and reference checks.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Prepare offer letters, collect documentation, run new-hire orientations, create employee files, coordinate equipment and systems access, process exits and recover assets.
- Education & Training: Plan and execute the training requirements for all our staff in accordance with state, local and vendor standards.
- Talent & Performance: Coordinate performance evaluation cycles. This includes 30, 60, 90-day reviews, and annual reviews.
- HRIS & Records: Maintain accurate employee records (personal data, status changes, compliance documents); assist with HRIS data entry, audits, and reporting.
- Benefits Administration: Support enrollments in medical, dental, 401k etc., life event changes, eligibility tracking; help answer employee questions; liaise with brokers/carriers as directed.
- Compliance: Assist with EEO, I‑9, E-Verify, FMLA/leave tracking, required postings, training records, and policy administration.
- Employee Support: Respond to all HR inquiries; escalate complex issues to the HR Manager.
- Protected Leaves: Educate employees and process federal, WA & CA protected leaves.
- Engagement & Events: Help plan HR programs (recognition, engagement surveys, wellness, HR communications).
- Payroll Support: Submit changes (new hires, terminations, pay changes, deductions) to payroll before deadlines; validate reports.
- Reporting: Prepare routine HR metrics (headcount, turnover, time-to-fill, etc.).

Job Qualifications
- 1-2 years of HR support, recruiting coordination, or administrative experience.
- Knowledge of WA & CA federal employment laws (WLAD, ADA, PFML, Paid Sick Leave, ACA).
- Experience with HRIS/ATS (e.g., Workday, UKG, WorkEasy, Paylocity) preferred.
- Preferred bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and discretion with confidential data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; customer-service mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Environment:
- Extensive amounts to of time sitting at workstation
- Moderate amount of walking on concrete floors

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
