American Heritage Schools is currently seeking a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time, on-site role.
The Human Resources Coordinator manages the full employee lifecycle by leading recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration while ensuring data integrity and labor law compliance.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Recruitment: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including posting jobs, sourcing candidates, and coordinating job fairs.
Initiate and track background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Onboarding: Complete background checks, lead the onboarding experience- paperwork, training, orientation.
Descriptions & SOPs: Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate Job Descriptions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Complete Exit Interviews and collect data.
Benefits & Financial Wellness
401(k) Administration: Facilitate 401(k) enrollment and provide basic guidance on plan participation.
Benefits Support: Assist with the administration of health, dental, and vision plans, including the coordination of Open Enrollment.
Claims Management: Act as a bridge for employees navigating FMLA, insurance claims, and workers' compensation.
People Operations & Compliance
Data Integrity: Maintain accurate digital and physical employee records, ensuring 100% compliance with labor laws.
Point of Contact: Serve as the first line of communication for employee inquiries regarding policies, engagement, and company culture.
Project Support: Participate in HR-related projects, such as culture initiatives, performance management rollouts, or auditing HR systems
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required
2+ years of Experience working in Human Resources or related fields.
Knowledgeable in Recruiting Platforms
Experience in SIS management such as ADP workforce.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Experience with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Pages, Slides, etc.)
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work effectively under pressure with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
This position requires regular, reliable, and punctual on-site attendance to ensure proper coverage and meet team goals.
