Role Summary
Seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead all HR operations across their U.S. workforce. Based in their cutting-edge Executive Briefing Center in Midtown Manhattan, this role offers a unique opportunity to shape culture, elevate employee experience, and drive organizational success at a high level.

As the Director of HR, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources and collaborating with HR counterparts across North America and Europe. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires a sharp strategic mindset, a deep understanding of U.S. employment law, and a true passion for people leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end HR leadership across all U.S. operations, overseeing the full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, and offboarding.

  • Act as a trusted strategic advisor to executive leadership on workforce planning, team structure, performance, retention, and cultural initiatives.

  • Lead U.S. talent acquisition operations, driving scalable hiring strategies that support growth while upholding high standards of quality, inclusion, and diversity.

  • Ensure full compliance with New York State and U.S. federal employment laws, proactively managing risk, policy updates, and audit readiness.

  • Collaborate with HR leaders in Canada and the United Kingdom to align global HR strategies, share best practices, and ensure consistency across regions.

  • Oversee annual benefits planning and renewals in partnership with U.S. benefits providers and brokers.

  • Manage immigration processes including visa applications, work permits, and permanent residency/green card procedures.

  • Maintain and optimize HR systems, ensuring precision in data, compliance reporting, documentation, and policy execution.

  • Champion a high-performance, inclusive, and values-driven culture through exceptional onboarding, communication programs, and employee engagement initiatives.

  • Build and nurture strategic recruiting pipelines by leveraging an established professional network and developing new sourcing partnerships.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including 5+ years in a senior or director-level leadership role.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Demonstrated success leading high-volume recruitment within a fast-paced, high-growth organization.

  • Expertise in U.S. employment law, with a strong emphasis on New York State regulations.

  • Experience building and developing high-performing HR teams.

  • Proven ability to align HR operations with strategic business goals across multiple locations.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with high attention to detail in process execution and documentation.

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities; comfortable working through ambiguity.

  • A high degree of integrity, sound judgment, and discretion in handling confidential matters.

  • Track record of fostering employee engagement and developing impactful workplace culture initiatives.

  • Well-established connections within the HR and recruiting communities.

Desired Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.

  • SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification.

  • Previous experience in the high-tech or digital innovation sector.

  • Work Environment: 5 days per week on-site
