Job Responsibilities
The Human Resources Specialist/Generalist serves as a liaison between employees and management. This position will serve as a subject matter expert in their duties and will implement best practices as it relates to human resource process and procedures.
- Coordinating job postings, sourcing candidates, screening resumes, scheduling interviews and employee onboarding.
- Manage payroll process including document preparation, reviewing time cards and reimbursement claims.
- Manage staff's schedules including late alerts/call offs, time off or leave requests.
- Serve as an information resource for employees and supervisors being the first point of contact for employment questions.
- Conduct investigations on misconduct, discrimination/harassment claims, providing perspective on how the company should proceed.
- Ensure compliance with any local, state, and federal laws and regulations, managing risk, and updating HR records to ensure they are accurate.
- Develop and implement employee recognition and training programs.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all HIPAA guidelines.
- Participate in on-call rotation.
- Manage incoming staff phone calls and text messages.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Human Resources; direct experience in healthcare and home health care industry preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of employee relations, employment law, compensation, and employee engagement.
- PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation with valid auto insurance
