Human Resources Generalist

Youth On The Move Inc., a transportation provider serving children, individuals with disabilities, and elderly populations throughout Western Massachusetts, is seeking a detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to support daily HR operations in a regulated transportation environment.

This role focuses heavily on compliance, documentation accuracy, and employee relations support.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support employee relations and workplace investigations
  • Draft and maintain disciplinary documentation
  • Monitor 90-day probationary employees
  • Maintain audit-ready personnel files
  • Ensure compliance with: Massachusetts Wage & Hour Law | Earned Sick Time & PFML | CORI / SORI background standards | RMV driver monitoring requirements
  • Review timesheets prior to payroll processing
  • Track attendance, leave usage, and no-call / no-show incidents
  • Generate monthly HR compliance reports

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

  • 100% audit-ready personnel files
  • Timely completion of documentation (24-48 hours)
  • Zero compliance exceptions due to negligence
  • Monthly reporting completed on time

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law
  • Experience in transportation, healthcare, or regulated industries preferred
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Word required)
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification preferred
