Human Resources Generalist

Nature of Work:

Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources, manage full-cycle human resources needs for the Anne Arundel County Department of Health's 800-plus employees across state merit, county merit and county contractual classifications, ensuring compliance with two government entities – Anne Arundel County and the Maryland Department of Health, as well as all local, state and federal laws and regulations. Perform routine tasks as well as provide guidance and support in all aspects of Human Resources to include recruitment, onboarding, hiring, classification, job and compensation analysis, ADA, benefits and retirement coordination, performance management, workplace investigations and collaboration with the Training Administrator to ensure an effective, compliant and relevant best of class learning and development program. Have strong knowledge and practical experience with local, state and federal employment laws, as well as experience developing and facilitating learning and development courses.
