Human Resources Generalist

Axios Professional Recruitment is partnered with a manufacturing company in Ada, MI seeking a driven HR Generalist to join their growing team.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. The HR Generalist will play a key role in driving employee engagement, compliance, recruiting, and process improvement as the organization continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and execute employee engagement and recognition initiatives to uphold a positive, high-performance culture
• Serve as a resource for employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, investigations, and performance management support
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA) and maintain accurate employee records
• Assist with payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes
• Coordinate full-cycle onboarding and collaborate with staffing agencies and hiring managers on recruiting efforts
• Administer employee benefits, including enrollments, changes, and employee inquiries
• Assist in optimizing HRIS and internal systems to streamline workflows and data entry
• Track and report on key HR metrics (turnover, attendance, engagement)
• Coordinate employee training and development initiatives, including safety and compliance training
• Assist in shipping and receiving operations as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field
• 2+ years of HR or administrative experience, preferably in a manufacturing or fast-paced environment
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
• Willingness to work onsite Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
