Responsible for providing overall generalist support for the Human Resources function in a manner which achieves plant and departmental goals and objectives and satisfying the needs of the employees. Major responsibilities include payroll, recruiting, new hire onboarding, employee relations, training, HR administrative tasks and overall compliance with applicable Federal and State Laws.
Participates in the development of long-range objectives for the department. Recommend innovative human resource policies, procedures, and programs that contribute to achieving the objectives of the company and positive employee relations.
Coordinate staffing activities for all hourly positions. This includes recruiting, posting & sources jobs, layoffs, and collaborating with temporary staffing agencies.
Lead new hire onboarding activities, including but not limited to data entry, personnel file creation, new hire checklists.
Maintain the HRIS systems to ensure organizational changes, new hires, terminations, and transfers are reflected in accordance with payroll deadlines.
Assist with coordination of company training programs, including recognition of training needs, development of materials, and delivery of training to Team Leaders, Management and Hourly Team members, and documentation records.
Provide customer service, including assistance, information, education and/or coaching to employees in relation to human resource functions and programs
Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines including union avoidance, DEI, performance management, recruiting trends, federal and state employment laws
Must be a team player who is results driven, able to work under pressure, has strong leadership skills, high energy, strong organizational skills, is empathetic and able to deal with issues in an open, honest manner.
