Human Resources Information System Analyst

Dagen is recruiting an HRIS Analyst for an LNG company located in downtown Arlington, VA.


This is an in-office position with fully paid benefits.


The Human Resource Information System (HRIS) Analyst will support our Human Resources team during a transformative period as we implement Workday across our organization. This position is responsible for coordinating and executing the transfer of employee documents and historical data from ADP to Workday, processing day-to-day transactions in the current HCM (ADP), and providing hands-on support throughout Workday testing, data validation, and go-live activities.

The HRIS Analyst will work closely with the HRIS team, HR business partners, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate data in the system and a continuity of HR operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and execute the transfer of employee files, attachments, and historical documents from ADP into Workday in alignment with data governance and retention policies.
  • Process routine employee transactions in ADP such as hires, job changes, terminations, and compensation updates.
  • Monitor and audit HR data for accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide timely support to HR, Payroll, and Benefits teams for data corrections or reporting needs in ADP.
  • Participate in Workday testing cycles by executing test scripts, validating results, and logging defects.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide feedback for improvements.
  • Partner with HRIS and implementation partners to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.
  • Support cutover activities, including final data validation, document uploads, and user readiness.
  • Provide hands-on assistance during go-live, including issue triage, employee support, and coordination with HRIS Administrators.
  • Assist in developing Workday training materials, job aids, and post go-live documentation.
  • Support initial Workday stabilization period by monitoring data accuracy, processing corrections, and responding to end-user inquiries.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to optimizing new Workday workflows.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS, HR Operations, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with ADP preferred.
  • Exposure to or experience with Workday highly preferred.
  • Understanding of HR data and employee life cycle transactions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, data cleansing).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Resourceful, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communicator, able to work collaboratively with other teams.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
