Human Resources Intern

About the Role

City of Doraville is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for human resources and the desire to learn about the ins and outs of the HR function. This position will be a great opportunity to gain experience in the field of human resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruiting and hiring of new employees
  • Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
  • Assist with personnel file management
  • Assist with employee relations and terminations
  • Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal laws for record retention
  • Assist with HR-related paperwork and other administrative tasks as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Education/Experience/Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
  • Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Currently enrolled in a degree program or recent graduate of Human Resources or related field (transcripts will need to be provided).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Employment with the City of Doraville is at-will in accordance with Georgia law.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.25 per hour
