Reporting to: VP of Operations

Responsibilities and Duties

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding
• Oversee employee relations and provide guidance to managers on performance, engagement and disciplinary matters.
• Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, employment standards, and company policies
• Partner with leadership to strengthen company culture, drive engagement, and promote employee well-being
• Administer employee benefits programs; continuously research and evaluate options to ensure competitive and valuable offerings for all staff.
• Manage and process payroll with accuracy and timeliness.
• Maintain HR systems, records and data reporting
• Oversee OSHA compliance and workplace safety initiatives.
• Administer and report Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) claims.
• Manage unemployment claims and ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
• Ensure Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance and reporting accuracy.
• Perform additional HR duties and projects assigned to support department and organizational goals.

Qualifications and Skills

· Strong Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance, and best practices

· Excellent communication and leadership skills

· Proficiency with HRIS software (Paycom preferred)

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

Education/ Training Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in business, HR or a related field

· 5 plus years in HR experience
