The Human Resources Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the People function at the property level, with a primary focus on recruitment, onboarding, and HR service delivery. This role independently manages high-volume hiring activity, coordinates onboarding processes, and executes HR transactions while serving as a key point of contact for team members and managers.
The Human Resources Specialist ensures timely and accurate processing of employee information, maintains data integrity across systems, and delivers responsive support to team members. This role also provides guidance on HR processes and employee self-service tools, supporting a consistent and efficient team member experience. As a year-round position, this role plays a critical part in maintaining operational continuity, workforce stability, and compliance across seasonal and non-seasonal staffing cycles.
- Execute daily HR operations with a focus on timely, accurate processing of employee data and transactions.
- Maintain People systems, ensuring accurate data entry, record integrity, and timely updates across all employee records.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of all team member files and employment records using UKGReady.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, status changes, transfers, and separations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Oversee HR documentation, compliance tracking, and internal reporting processes.
- Partner with leadership to support departmental budgeting and expense tracking aligned with organizational financial goals.
- Manage high-volume recruitment activity including job postings, resume screening, coordinating and facilitating interviews, and preparing offer documentation.
- Drive candidate flow and ensure timely communication and movement through the hiring process to meet operational staffing needs.
- Partner with department leaders on workforce planning and staffing priorities across peak and off-season periods.
- Support and execute seasonal workforce programs including H2B and J1 administration and travel coordination.
- Maintain accurate recruitment tracking and hiring data.
- Coordinate and execute onboarding processes, ensuring all documentation, system entry, and compliance requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, ensuring a smooth, organized, and consistent onboarding experience.
- Ensure completion and accuracy of all employment documentation and policy acknowledgements.
- Support onboarding execution for both seasonal and year-round team members.
- Manage the employee housing matrix and enforce housing policies and standards, maintaining accurate records using SimplifyEm.
- Conduct routine housing inspections to ensure compliance with property standards and occupancy requirements.
- Coordinate housing logistics and communication for seasonal team members.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for team member HR inquiries, providing timely, accurate, and solution-oriented support.
- Respond to and resolve day-to-day HR questions related to pay, benefits, policies, employment status, and systems.
- Provide one-on-one guidance to team members on the use of employee self-service tools and HR systems.
- Support managers with HR processes, documentation, and follow-up on employee matters.
- Escalate complex employee relations or compliance issues to HR leadership as appropriate.
- Ensure consistent execution of HR policies, procedures, and company standards.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Support workers’ compensation reporting, documentation, and follow-up processes.
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready compliance documentation.
- Support wage and benefit administration processes.
- Ensure payroll data accuracy and timely processing support.
- Assist team members with benefits and leave-related questions.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Vice President of Human Resources.

EDUCATION
Four-year college degree or two years of college and four years of relevant work experience required.
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience required.
- Hospitality experience required.
- Luxury or lifestyle hotel experience preferred.
- Seasonal hotel experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting H2B and/or J1 programs preferred.
