### Job description

Maize USD 266 is seeking an experienced staff with HVAC skills. This is

a full-time, 12-month position supporting all of the facilities in the

district. The primary job is to repair and maintain the heating, air

conditioning, and ventilation for the school district buildings to

ensure efficient and proper operation.

#### Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent
• Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of mechanical systems and
  
  

electronics, time management, problem-solving

• Experience: Previous HVAC experience
• Tools/Equipment Used: District vehicle, standard office equipment,
  
  

hand tools, electric tools, ladders

• Posture: Some sitting, Frequent standing and walking
• Motion: Frequent walking, reaching, carrying, stooping, kneeling,
  
  

climb and pushing/pulling

• Environment: Primarily indoors but subject to extreme conditions,
  
  

rooftops, will need to navigate between district facilities

• Mental Demands: Maintain focus, decision making, remain composed
  
  

under pressure

#### Responsibilities

• The primary job is to repair and maintain the heating, air
  
  

conditioning, and ventilation for the school district buildings to

ensure efficient and proper operation

• Monitors heating, air conditioning, and ventilation in order to
  
  

maintain a comfortable and safe work and environment

• Maintains equipment to keep operating costs low and to assure
  
  

efficient operation

• Maintains food service equipment so students and staff can be served
  
  

efficiently

• Cleans areas around HVAC equipment to keep equipment running
  
  

efficiently

• Follow all maintenance procedures and complete documentation
• Complete maintenance records and submit as required
• Analyze and resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner
• Follow district policies and safety regulations
• Assists with snow removal as necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned in order to ensure a
  
  

well-maintained, clean, orderly and safe environment

• Overtime may be required
• Lifting: Up to 50 pounds
