HVAC Estimator

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Commercial Project Manager/ Estimator to lead our team in the commercial HVAC space . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating, project management, and cost control. This role requires excellent negotiation skills and proficiency in industry-standard software. Strong knowledge of the HVAC space along with experience reading blueprints. The Estimator will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate pricing for projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the estimating process for various construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness of bids.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for cost estimation.
• Utilize bidding software to prepare detailed estimates and proposals.
• Conduct thorough analysis of project specifications, drawings, and contracts to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Implement cost control measures to manage budgets effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
• Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Monitor construction site activities to gain insights into project execution and improve future estimates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and pricing strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field, with a strong understanding of construction management principles.
• Strong negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
• Solid understanding of contracts, pricing strategies, and cost control measures within the construction industry.
• Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred to enhance practical understanding of project execution.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in estimates and reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
