HVAC Technician

Job Summary:

We are actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems. Crucially, candidates must possess a minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience within the GCC region and be currently residing in Doha with a valid Qatari residence permit and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for sponsorship transfer.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, including electrical and mechanical faults, refrigerant leaks, and airflow issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on a wide range of HVAC equipment (e.g., split units, package units, chillers, VRV/VRF systems, AHUs, FCUs) to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
• Install new HVAC systems and components according to specifications and safety standards.
• Conduct repairs and replacements of defective parts such as compressors, motors, coils, thermostats, and circuit boards.
• Charge and reclaim refrigerants in compliance with environmental regulations.
• Monitor and adjust HVAC system settings to achieve desired temperatures and humidity levels.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
• Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Provide clear and concise communication with clients and team members regarding service status and recommendations.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician, with a significant portion of this experience gained within the GCC region (e.g., Qatar, UAE, KSA, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman).
• Education: Technical diploma or certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or a related field.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong knowledge of HVAC principles, electrical systems, and refrigeration cycles.
• Proficient in using a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, pressure gauges, vacuum pumps).
• Ability to work with different types of refrigerants and understand their handling procedures.
• Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in HVAC operations.
• Local Residency: Must be currently residing in Doha, Qatar, with a valid Qatari residence permit.
• NOC (No Objection Certificate): Possession of a valid NOC from your current sponsor for legal sponsorship transfer is mandatory.
• Language: Good command of English (written and spoken). Arabic proficiency is a significant advantage.
• Driving License: A valid Qatar Driving License preferred (and may be required for certain roles involving field visits).
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team, good communication skills, and a professional demeanor.
