Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC and exhaust systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, diagnosing issues, adjusting and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the company to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill our requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
• Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
• Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
• Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems.
• Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
• Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
• Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions and keeping up with company communication platforms.
• Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Complying with service standards, work instructions and company’s requirements.
• Assisting with company queries.

Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent.
• 3+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
• Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating.
• Proficient in balancing air and water treatment systems in line with HVAC protocols.
• Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
• Working knowledge of water-cooled systems and chiller towers is preferred.
• Mechanical Contractor License and EPA Certification is preferred.

Other Requirements:

• Cannabis experience preferred but not required.
• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Possess a valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Must pass all background checks.
• Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
• Must comply with all legal or company regulations for working in the cannabis industry.
• Must be able to lift, carry, and balance up to 35 pounds (100 pounds with assistance). This job may require walking or standing for long periods of time, along with lifting, bending over, and crouching.
