Job Opportunity: Interior Design Manager (High-Rise & Fit-Out Projects)
We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Interior Design Manager to join our dynamic team in Doha. This is a strategic leadership role ideal for an experienced professional with a strong background in high-rise developments and interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of creative expertise, technical knowledge, and project management skills to lead innovative design solutions from concept to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all phases of interior design and fit-out projects, from concept development to final handover.
- Supervise and inspire a multidisciplinary team of interior designers, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.
- Oversee and coordinate all design-related disciplines, including MEP, structural, architectural, and specialist trades, ensuring seamless integration with interior design.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
- Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
- Review and approve design proposals, detailed drawings, material specifications, and FF&E packages.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and sustainability standards.
- Deliver compelling design presentations and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
- Implement robust quality control procedures across all project stages.
- Stay current with industry trends, new materials, technologies, and global best practices in interior design and fit-out.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience in interior design and fit-out, with a proven record in delivering high-rise and commercial projects.
- Extensive experience in leading cross-disciplinary coordination, including MEP, lighting, AV, and other technical services, in alignment with interior design goals.
- MMUP Grade A certification (preferred).
- Proficiency in design tools including AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant software.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience managing design teams and complex, multi-phase projects.
- Strong understanding of Qatar’s local construction regulations, permitting procedures, and design standards.
- Knowledge of sustainable design principles and their application in fit-out projects.
- Excellent skills in communication, negotiation, and client presentations.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
